A statue is surely a fitting style for those Eternal soldiers from Warhammer Age of Sigmar. The Reddit user Charlie2107 made this very inspiring style using materials that you would usually find on bases of models instead of on the figurines themselves.
I also expect it to be a quick scheme to paint, since you can do most of it with drybrushing, and “happy little accidents” actually bring the theme together rather than hurting the final outcome!
It’s a style that I have seen a few times, both for Age of Sigmar and Warhammer 40,000, and have always really liked.
